Notice is hereby given that The Town of Lake Park will hold a second public visioning workshop to discuss revising the Town Code of Ordinances for the C-3 District as well as the Comprehensive Plan. Town staff and the Town’s consultant, Dover, Kohl & Partners, will be available to take questions from members of the public and receive their input. This agenda item will be a visioning workshop only and no formal action will be taken.
On October 30th, 2019, the Town Commission approved a contract with Dover, Kohl & Partners to update the Town’s land development regulations for the C-3 Zoning District and the Comprehensive Plan. These changes are intended to facilitate the redevelopment of the former Twin City Mall site as a walkable, mixed-use lifestyle center and compliment the vision of the Village of North Palm Beach, who has jurisdiction over the eastern portion of the site. On December 4th, 2019, a public outreach workshop was held to discuss these proposed changes. As part of their contract, Dover, Kohl & Partners will continue to work with staff to conduct community outreach and receive public feedback on the C-3 District and Comprehensive Plan updates. The upcoming January 25th meeting will provide residents from both the Village of North Palm Beach and the Town of Lake Park with additional information on the conceptual plan for the Twin City Mall site and allow them to give direction to the consultant and staff on how best to evolve the plan to meet their wants and needs.
