Executive Order 20-123: Full Phase I: Safe. Smart. Step-By-Step. Plan For Florida's Recovery

Governor DeSantis has issued Executive Oder 20-123, which brings the entire state into full Phase I of his “Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery” including, but not limited to, allowing restaurants, libraries, museums, gyms and retail stores to operate at 50% capacity (with certain restrictions); allowing professional sports venues to host training, competitions, events and games; and extending Executive Order 20-69, which allows for the utilization of communications media technology to conduct local government public meetings. COVID-19: 

Palm Beach County Issues Emergency Orders 6, 7 and 8

Palm Beach County issued three new Emergency Orders on Saturday, May 16. Emergency Order Number 6 addresses the opening of beaches in the county, which will begin (with restrictions) on Monday, May 18. Emergency Order Number 7 addresses recreational facilities by amending  Emergency Order Number 5. Emergency Order Number 8 provides additional directives regarding face coverings. UNITED WAY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY CREATES FOOD FINDER MAP

United Way of Palm Beach County has created a Food Finder map in response to COVID-19 in order to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them in a quick and accessible way. Through collaboration with several community partners including Palm Beach County, the School District of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Food Bank, Feeding South Florida, FLIPANY, Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Area Agency on Aging Palm Beach/Treasure Coast, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Living Hungry, and Hospitality Helpings Hands, information on sites offering food services was collected and uploaded to the Palm Beach County Food Finder map. United Way of Palm Beach County will update this resource weekly.

PALM BEACH COUNTY LAUNCHES BIZHELPPBC

Palm Beach County has launched BizHelpPBC, a county-wide resource for all 39 municipalities with business-focused information regarding COVID-19. The site contains resources designed to assist companies through any challenges, and new information is added daily. Please visit https://bizhelppbc.com/ to learn more.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY COVID-19 IS STILL AVAILABLE THROUGH THE CARES ACT

LOCAL BANKS CAN ASSIST YOU WITH YOUR APPLICATION EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT

If you are a business owner who needs help to pay your employees and your bills because of COVID-19, local area banks may be able to help you get the CARES Act Payroll Protection Program (PPP) funding you need to keep your business viable and maintain your workforce. Did you know that not all banks require a bank account to provide you with application assistance? Plus, if the funds are administered correctly, you do not have to pay back the money you receive.
