Commissioner Kendall R. Rumsey

PH: 561-881-3306
Kendall Rumsey was born and raised in northeast Georgia, and received a degree in Communications Arts with an emphasis in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He moved to Florida in 1996 and settled in Lake Park in 2006.

As a child, Commissioner Rumsey began his life-long involvement in politics by working on the 1976 Jimmy Carter Presidential Campaign. Since that time, he has worked on a number of local, state and national campaigns. He threw his hat into the ring in March 2009, and was elected to the Lake Park City Commission.

Commissioner Rumsey is actively involved with the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, serves on the Board of Directors for Grandma's Place, a temporary group home for children up to age 12 who have been removed from their parents' care due to parental drug use, abuse, etc., and works with several other not-for-profit organizations throughout the county. He spends his leisure time with his family, friends and dog, Lita, and his active off hours lovingly restoring his 1925 Mission-style home.
